The Story Behind Advance
Advance came from one of those really cool creative connections that turns into something bigger than you expected. Stephen Slade of Infinity Plus One took my poetry and spoken word and blended it with his music and production in a way that felt fresh, soulful, and completely different from anything either of us would have created on our own.Now Clock House Records is releasing the four-track project through Bandcamp, and I’m excited for people to hear how my voice, words, and storytelling come together with Stephen’s sound. The whole experience has been built on trust, creative freedom, and the courage to keep moving forward.

Through creative writing, poetry, meaningful conversation, and guided exercises, participants are encouraged to explore their experiences, recognize the value of their voices, and discover new ways to see themselves and their stories.Designed for community groups, churches, schools, women’s gatherings, and organizations, each workshop can be shaped around the needs of the people in the room. You do not have to consider yourself a writer. You only need a willingness to show up, tell the truth, and see what healing or clarity may meet you on the page.

A Sound Mind
I am having so much fun being part of this production. A Sound Mind is well written, funny, and believable. The cast is so talented that even during rehearsals, I sometimes find myself completely caught up in the scenes.Our director is fierce, loving, and sees everything. She has a gift for bringing out the best in each performer, and it is clear that she was born to do this work.I am honored to share the stage with such a talented group of people. This is the kind of project that speaks to my soul, and I am grateful to be part of it.

Dear Daughter: You Are Enough
The Story Behind “More Than Gold”
I am honored to be a contributing author in Dear Daughter Anthology: You Are Enough, a collection created to encourage women to reflect on their stories, recognize their worth, and embrace the truth that they are enough.When I accepted the invitation to contribute, I was excited, but I had no idea what I would write about.As I began exploring my own story, I reflected on the first time I believed I wasn’t enough. I found myself returning to the relationship I had with my father.That journey brought new revelations, deeper healing, and new opportunities to love and forgive myself for decisions I had made throughout my life and in my relationships.Writing my chapter “More Than Gold” became more than an assignment. It became a therapeutic experience.My prayer is that every woman who reads my contribution leaves with a deeper understanding of her value, not only as a daughter, but as a daughter of the Most High.You are worthy. You are precious. You are more than gold.
I Use My Voice to Make Room for Others
I began with poetry. Writing gave me a way to tell the truth about what I had lived, what I was learning, and how I saw the world. Performing gave those words a voice. Over time, I realized that my work was never only about being heard. It was also about creating spaces where other people could feel safe enough to speak, reflect, heal, laugh, and recognize the value of their own stories.That purpose grew with me. Poetry expanded into music, books, workshops, open mics, hosting, and love coaching, giving me new ways to help people examine their relationships, reconnect with themselves, and see their lives through a more compassionate lens. Eventually, my understanding of love grew beyond expression and healing into preparation, protection, and legacy.Today, whether I am standing on a stage, guiding a conversation, coaching someone through a personal shift, writing a book, or helping a family prepare for the future, the heart of the work remains the same: love should be expressed, experienced, and protected.
